The run starts at 8:00 AM on September 29, 2007 at the Group shelter at Trout Pond Recreation Area in the George Washington National Forest. The run will end at the shelter. Be there by 7:45 AM for the pre-race briefing.

The run is completely done by 7:20 PM. We estimate that most runners will take approximately 9 hours to finish it, with the fastest done somewhere around 6 hours and the slowest around 11:20.

Course record for women is 6:20 set by Justine Morrison in 2007.

Course record for men is 5:32 set by Mike Mason in 2005.

Each aid station has a cut-off time. You must be out of the aid station before the cut-off.

Aid Station #1 - Cut Off: 10:20 AM
Aid Station #2 - Cut Off: 2:00 PM
Aid Station #3 - Cut Off: 4:15 PM

At the finish, please let the finish line volunteer know who you are and that you are done. In such a techinally demanding run, it is important that we know who is still on the course and who is finished.

After the run, we will have food and refreshments. There is a small watering hole that you can take a quick dip in to cool off. There are also showers near the finish so pack a change of clothes.
